Well they do say fresh is best. Sounds like the right things are being said in the group. I wonder how much AV is going to get in the early stages?

How well did AV get along with Brooksy? Torts level being worst - Statue of Liberty being best?

How many comments will be thrown his way by the team early on in regards to how he coached & what he did/didn't do well. Basically how many knives he will be pulling out of his back?

Same as when he took over from Torts. But in this case, we al knew communication was an issue as was the defensive structure. So nothing out of the expected has been said.

I know it's past tense & you guys are moving forward, but it seems so strange to think such an important factor in a team system being communication appears to have been an issue but AV still had a very good record.

Anyway, moving forward hopefully another young coach gets his chance to be a good NHL coach.

Buch started great last year too, was probably the best forward on the ice for the 1st month. Its going to be the consistency with him. He has looked really good though

I thought Chytil looked strong after, what I thought was a weak first few shifts. He looked to get more comfortable as the game went on. Hopefully we can see a full 60 minutes from this team as the continue to make cuts

I agree. I don't want to seem to be dumping on him, but I thought in the 1st half of the game he was trying to force plays that weren't there. If he can learn to be patient and take what's there, it will open up better opportunities for him, IMO.

I noticed Gropp a little, but I think he had the least amount of ice time, IIRC.

He had one shift where he was coming up on the rush and took a good looking wrist shot that went wide by a few inches. I think it was late second period or mid third

this was kind of how I felt about the Domi/Ekblad incident:

I wouldn’t say “sucker punch”.... he was engaging for a while, and jabbed Ekblad 2 or 3 times already. At some point, you have to think something may happen here, and not look away.
